Long awaited, you say?

There has been a recent interest regarding Shiva Oil Paintstiks. Their use has been demonstrated by Linda Winterroth who has made some truly lovely Theorem Stencil cards. A class teaching other uses for the paintstiks will be scheduled for this winter.

Another recent rise in interest has been with Encaustic Wax. Lorraine Revalee is planning to teach a class in this some time this summer. It could possibly be a Saturday class, so set aside some Saturdays if you are interested.

But the MOST exciting product which is causing the most interest, at least with the Tennessee Stampers, is Copic Markers. Everyone who has these markers say there is NOTHING like them! Everyone told me they had no use for another set of markers, but when they started using these, there was just no comparison to the old water-based markers. These markers are fast-drying alcohol based markers with two-different nibs. They are refillable, permanent, non-toxic and dry acid-free. The nibs can be replaced. I was told the basic marker will last 3 years, and can be extended up to 20 or so years. The style I intend to carry comes in 322 different colors. They are more expensive than regular, water-based markers, but because of their longevity and use, they are said to be well-worth the extra cost. Kathie Hatfield from Knoxville will be holding a class this month. The exact date is still under consideration, but let me know if you would like to take her class. The dates being considered are July 16, July 26 and July 30. Let me know which of the three dates work for you.
