New dates have been set for the classes that were canceled over the last two months. I have intentionally scheduled them every other week in case we have some snowy weather. If a class is canceled due to inclement weather, it will be moved to the following Monday. Please keep that in mind when you are putting a date on your calendar.

There are 6 new classes offered in addition to the Copics Classes. You may notice that I have also scheduled them every two weeks. That is because they are so far in the future. I like to keep some openings for classes that others might be interested in teaching. These new classes have not been fully defined yet and may even have a different instructor so just keep checking this list to see if anything changes.

I have not verified the new dates with all the people who originally enrolled, so please check the new dates and let me know if you would like to be enrolled or if you need to be removed from the original list.

Regarding the class seating, please sign up for full classes, too, since there are often cancellations.

The price for all classes is $12.00 unless otherwise noted.

 Introduction to Copic Markers

Kathie Hatfield and I have finally set a date for the Copic Markers classes. This session is a repeat of the class she gave in 2008 showing beginning techniques with Copics if you need a refresher or an introduction. This class will require you to have your own markers. You will need the colors that co-ordinate with the cardstock because Kathie has a package prepared for the class. I will be sending out a notice to all class enrollees regarding this.

March 6, 2010 (Saturday - 3 seats)

 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
 ($15.00)
 Advanced Use of Copic Markers

Kathie Hatfield will teach us how to improve our use of Copic Markers with advanced shading techniques. She will also teach us how to use the Air Brush System with the Copic Markers. This class will be a lot of fun! As in the Intro class, you will need to have your own markers that will go with the green and pink pre-made kits. An e-mail will define specifics.

Painted Image Clay Jewelry

Don't just think that the two items created from this class can be used for jewelry only. They could also embellish your cards or as a magnets. This class began with a copy of a brooch that Sally Proctor saw and loved. After discussing it with Lynda Bowman, we decided to make a class with the technique. You will be able to make two clay pieces using two different techniques. They really are beautiful! I wore one of the necklaces out to dinner one night and received compliments from two different men, and not  one of them was Paul. Where else could you make some beautiful handmade jewelry for $15.00 and have a fun day in the meantime?

March 22, 2010

Posh Painting

Many of you may be familiar with Dee Gruenig and her Posh Paints. Well, this class will NOT resemble her look, so if that's what you are expecting, you may not want this class. But then again, it will be another way to use those products that have been in storage for a while. Information will be provided about other products that could be used to create the same looks. Even though the two class projects will be different, a quick demo will be given on the original techniques.
